About Dr. Dana J. Keys-Frezzell, MD

Experience: Over 23 years in the practice General Internal Medicine which has included provision of primary care and management of chronic conditions for adult patients.  Started out in solo practice in OH, transferred to PA after a few years to eventually join a primary care practice in my hometown, Monessen.  While engaged in outpatient/inpatient and housecall medicine required of my practice, also  rotated with other doctors to ensure coverage of the medically underserved in the community health center, served as medical director for a local hospice as well as for California University of PA Student Health Services and worked as team physician for the local high school football team. Sentara Medical Group provided the opportunity to relocate to Hampton Roads in 2007 and have remained in this area, spending over 7 years with Sentara and the last 3 years providing medical care with Visiting Physicians Assoc, Patient First and performing military compensation and pension exams.

 

Service Background:  Over the years, leadership responsibilities with a local chapter of NAACP and the local churc h as well as serving on the Civil Service Commission in Monessen, PA  along with volunteer activities in multiple capacities in local community.
